Baltic Sea is located in Northern Europe and is connected by man-made waterways to the White Sea via the White Sea Canal, and to the North Sea via the Kiel Canal. The countries that have a shoreline with Baltic Sea are Denmark, Estonia, Latvia, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, and Sweden. These altogether make Baltic Region. Out of them, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are called Baltic States. Finland is grouped among Nordic Countries. The countries in Oceania are 14 viz. Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Nauru, New Zealand, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu. Note: Oceania has been consistently in news due to cyclone Pam etc. and airplane crashes.
